Puzzle Content You Create
- Puzzle Data: When you create educational puzzles, we store the words, hints, titles, and puzzle configuration you provide.
Information Generated Automatically
- Creator ID: A unique identifier automatically generated and stored in your browser to associate you with your created puzzles.
- Puzzle Analytics: We track how many times your puzzles are played to help you understand engagement.
- Technical Data: Browser type, device information, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.
Palabra Educational Features
Our Palabra features (accessible at /challenge) allow teachers to create custom word puzzles for their students:
- Puzzle Creation: Teachers can create custom crossword puzzles with vocabulary words and hints.
- Shareable Links: Each puzzle gets a unique link that can be shared with students.
- Draft Saving: Incomplete puzzles are saved as drafts so you can return and finish them later.
- Student Privacy: Students playing teacher-created puzzles are identified only by anonymous Player IDs.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use the following types of cookies and storage:
- Essential Storage (localStorage): Stores your Player ID, Creator ID, theme preference, and draft puzzles. Required for the game to function.
- Session Storage: Temporarily stores puzzle creation state and navigation context.
- Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how players use the game so we can improve it.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the puzzle service
- To store and serve teacher-created puzzles

- Created Puzzles: Teacher-created puzzles are retained until you delete them or for 1 year of inactivity.
- Draft Puzzles: Incomplete puzzles are stored locally in your browser and can be cleared at any time.
- Puzzle Completion Data: Anonymous completion records are retained for educational tracking purposes.
You can clear your local data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share aggregated, non-identifying information with third parties for analytics purposes. Your Player ID may be visible to other players on leaderboards. Puzzle links you create can be shared and accessed by anyone with the link.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- Request deletion of your data (including created puzzles)
